Keep or Delete Original Messages

You have two options:

  • Keep a copy: Messages stay in your inbox AND forward to the other address
  • Don’t keep a copy: Messages only go to the forwarding address (your inbox won’t have them)

Recommendation: Keep a copy as a backup.

Test Your Forwarding

  1. Send a test email to yourself
  2. Check both your inbox and forwarding address
  3. Verify the message arrived in both places

Troubleshooting

Forwarded emails aren’t arriving:

  • Check the spam folder of your forwarding address
  • Verify the forwarding email address is typed correctly
  • Make sure forwarding is enabled and saved

To stop forwarding:

  1. Go back to Mail Settings
  2. Find your forwarding rule
  3. Click Delete or Disable
  4. Click Save
