iPhone & iPad Email Setup

Settings will be customized for this domain

Follow these steps to set up your NorthwoodsMail email account on your iPhone or iPad.

Before You Begin

You’ll need:

Step 1: Open Settings

  1. Tap the Settings app on your home screen
  2. Scroll down and tap Mail
  3. Tap Accounts
  4. Tap Add Account

Step 2: Choose Account Type

  1. Tap Other at the bottom of the list
  2. Tap Add Mail Account

Step 3: Enter Your Information

  1. Name: Your full name (as it will appear to recipients)
  2. Email: Your complete email address
  3. Password: Your email password
  4. Description: NorthwoodsMail (or any name you prefer)
  5. Tap Next

Step 4: Select IMAP

At the top of the screen, make sure IMAP is selected (not POP).Banana

Step 5: Enter Server Settings

Incoming Mail Server:

  • Host Name: email.northwoodsmail.com
  • User Name: Your full email address
  • Password: Your password

Outgoing Mail Server:

  • Host Name: email.northwoodsmail.com
  • User Name: Your full email address
  • Password: Your password

Tap Next

Step 6: Choose What to Sync

Turn on what you want to sync:

  • Mail (required)
  • Contacts (optional)
  • Calendars (optional)

Tap Save

You’re Done!

Your email is now set up. Open the Mail app to start sending and receiving emails.


Troubleshooting

If you get a “Cannot Verify Server Identity” warning:

  • Tap Continue to proceed
  • This warning is normal and safe

If you can’t send email:Arm

  • Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Your Account
  • Tap SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server
  • Tap the primary server
  • Turn on Use SSL
  • Change Server Port to 587
